About 232 Eid-ul-Fitr congregations are scheduled to be held at the traditional and temporary venues in the Chittagong city under the supervision of Chittagong Central Eid Jamaat Committee and the Chittagong City Corporation.
Local administration, CCC and CCEJC sources said preparations were almost complete.
CCEJC has finalised to hold a total of 94 Eid congregations at different venues at a meeting held recently in the conference room of the Chittagong Deputy Commissioner.
Deputy commissioner Faiz Ahmed, also the president of CCEJC, chaired the meeting while divisional commissioner Sirajul Huq Khan attended the function as the chief guest.
According to the decisions, all the 94 Eid congregations under the CCEJC would be held at 9:00am.
The main Eid congregation would be held at MA Aziz Stadium at 9:00am and Baitus Sharaf Madrassah principal Abu Noman would conduct the prayers, the officials confirmed.
The other main Eid jamaats under the CCEJC would be held at Andarkillah Shahi Jame Mosque, Laldighi Maidan, Parade Ground, Pologround Maidan, Shah Amanat Dargah Maidan, Port Colony Jame Mosque, Metropolitan Police Lines Maidan, Agrabad Jamboree Field and Bayezid Bostami Dargah Maidan at the same time.
Meanwhile, the CCC would organise a total of 139 Eid congregations at traditional and temporary venues including its 41 wards under the supervision of respective ward councillors.
The decision was taken in a coordination meeting recently held at the CCC auditorium.
The two grand Eid jamaats under the auspices of the CCC would be held at Jamiatul Falah Jatiya Mosque where the first jamaat would be conducted by khatib of the mosque Mohammad Jalaluddin Al Quadery at 8:00am and the second one would be led by Abu Jafar Sadeque at 9:00am.
