The government yesterday cancelled the contractual appointment of the Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) Financial Adviser Abdur Rab Joarder on charge of corruption.
The cancellation order signed by Lipika Bhadra, senior assistant secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, on Monday also asked the RDA to file departmental and criminal cases against Joarder.
Joarder, former RDA chief accounts officer, was given the contractual appointment after expiry of his job in 2009.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed three cases with Shah Makhdum police station in the city in July on charges of corruption.
